Where To Eat In Marin: 6 Michelin Bib Gourmands
The folks from the prestigious Michelin Guide have been hanging out in California alot recently. In fact, California is the first state in America to get it’s own red guide. It has been released, with 657 Michelin-recommended restaurants, 90 of which have MICHELIN stars. And six of those Michelin-recommended restaurants are here in Marin, most of which are minutes from our Marin Hotels. So now you know where to go to dinner tonight!
Marin County’s 6 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants:
Insalatas. A mediterranean food destination in San Anselmo for over 20 years, and a multiple-year Michelin winner.
Pig in a Pickle. High quality ingredients meet southern style sauces at this BBQ destination at Corte Madera Town Center.
Playa. A few blocks from Mill Valley Inn, Playa’s modern Mexican food matches its gorgeous indoor/outdoor space.
Poggio. A short drive from Acqua Hotel, Poggio is a long-time locals’ favorite Italian trattoria in Sausalito.
Sushi Ran. Not only considered one of the best Sushi Restaurants in California, but also the Country. And so close to Acqua Hotel!
Village Sake. This japanese Izakaya pub doesn’t take reservations, so familiarize yourself with the waitlist. Worth it! p.s. that appetizing plate in the photo at the top of this post comes from Village Sake.
Bonus! If you’re in the mood for a Michelin Star experience, MadCap in San Anselmo was awarded a star.
See you out there!
