Proof Lab: An Only-in-Marin Surf Shop and More

If you want to soak in a classic Marin County surf shop vibe, Proof Lab in Mill Valley is a must do. Even if you’re not a surfer or skateboarder. This spot is ineffable. Which is why a this video created by Surfer is perfect:

To add to the experience, consider biking to Proof Lab on one of our complimentary bikes. From Acqua Hotel, it’s an 11 minute ride, from Mill Valley Inn it’s 14 minutes, from Waters Edge Hotel, it’s 37 minutes.

If you can, plan your trip around an event — music, film night, product demo. The photo at the top of this post was taken during a Van’s 50th anniversary event at the store a few years ago: local kid musicians, food, merch from Van’s, a super-fun evening with a local crowd.
