Meet Your New Angel Island State Park Hiking Buddy
Angel Island has always been a top-notch outdoor activity in Marin County, and now it’s even better thanks to a new app that our favorite State Park in the middle of the San Francisco Bay recently launched.
“Her name is Diane, though she wouldn’t tell you that. She’d simply tell you about how to spot poison oak or why wildfires are good for ecology or that two coyotes once swam across the bay to reach Angel Island. Her full name is Diane Appel, and as the Angel Island Conservancy’s director, she narrates the new Angel Island app, launched in July 2021 to help improve the experience for visitors of the mostly uninhabited island.”
Read more about the app here.
And here’s our Angel Island Travel Guide.
Of course we think you should consider creating a special occasion (Tiburon Date Weekend anyone?) around your Angel Island excursion! From your guestroom at Waters Edge Hotel you only need to pop downstairs to board the ferry for your island adventure.
Oh, and this is for if you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to live on Angel Island.
Enjoy the island!
