On the Water with the Wildlife in Marin County
If you're interested in getting out on the water to spot some marine life, book the Whale Watching Wildlife Tour with Angel Island Tiburon Ferry. During the 3-hour tour, you’ll venture out beyond the Golden Gate, where we hear there is some good activity this year.
Birding in Marin County
For the birdwatchers out there, Marin County will not disappoint. The Marin Audubon Society has published the best birding locations in Marin County. A couple of their recommendations overlap with our Best Flat Hikes in Marin: Abbots Lagoon and Blackie’s Pasture on Old Rail Trail in Tiburon.
Wildlife Events in Marin County
Marin County Parks hosts some great events centered around the wildlife in our parklands. You can spot and learn more about Butterflies, Nocturnal Creatures, and even Bats in Marin at their group hikes and experiences.
