Tennessee Point Trail: A Coastal Hike For Acqua Hotel Guests!
Heads up: this post is especially for our guests at Acqua Hotel! We delight in sharing our favorite hikes close to our hotels, and Tennessee Point Trail is a must-do for our Acqua Hotel guests who appreciate a hike with a view. This one is an easy 1.5-mile out-and-back round trip with some of the most awesome views you’ll find in the Bay Area.
“This trail along the bluff to Tennessee Point can't get any closer to the water without getting wet.”
— Phil DiGirolamo
How To. Park at the Rodeo Beach lot about a 15-20 minute drive from Acqua Hotel (map here). Park and head towards the Coastal Trail. You’ll veer toward the left for a slight uphill and then turn right to follow the Coastal Trail until you reach Tennessee Point. Here’s the link to the hiking map again, and a PDF map of the hike for your files. The staff is happy to provide you with a printed copy of this map!
Please note, you’re not going to Tennessee Point as noted in the sign below; you’re headed towards a bluff called Tennessee Point on the Coastal Trail Hiking Route.
Enjoy your spot out on the point for a while! If you booked our special Acqua Hotel Hiking Package his is a great place to enjoy the snacks and bevies supplied in your Acqua Hotel backpack. And you’ll appreciate the binoculars for viewing squads of pelicans or simply watching the horizon.
See you out there!
Note: Please stay on trail! As tempting as going off trail may be, the terrain is unstable!
