Mill Valley California is a Redwood-Lover's Paradise
One of the most wonderful things about Marin County is our Redwoods. Solo grand dames, family clusters, Redwood groves and forests dot the landscape. The most famous Redwood destination is, of course, Muir Woods National Monument. We have lots of love for Muir Woods, and at the same time we equally love the lesser known Redwoods of Marin.
Mill Valley Inn’s Redwoods
We are particularly fond of the Redwoods on the grounds of Mill Valley Inn. And we’ve recently added a new outdoor area where our guests can absorb all that Redwood goodness!
A lovely way to start your day is to head up to the breakfast room and ask the staff to make you a latte (complimentary, along with the breakfast!) and take that down to the seating area. Soak that up. Now you might be ready for a little excursion to Old Mill Park for more Redwoods.
Old Mill Park in Mill Valley
This gem lies only 250-ish steps from Mill Valley Inn and we think it is one of the loveliest spots to enjoy the trees. There are play structures for the kids, picnic benches in the groves, and a few paths to to wind around. Very low-key, very quiet, very easy.
