This little spot on West Ridgecrest Boulevard (aka Mt. Tam Hang Gliding and Paragliding Launch B on google maps) is a perfect place to position yourself for a sky-high view of Stinson Beach from rolling hills of Mt. Tam. Post up under a giant tree and reeelax.

It’s also a lovely spot to enjoy a simple picnic! Get your picnic supplies at Mill Valley Market if you’re staying at Mill Valley Inn, Rustic Bakery if you’re staying at Waters Edge Hotel, and Safeway if you’re staying at Acqua Hotel.

Bonus —as you can see from the google maps tip above, this is the place where people who like to fly take off. It’s truly a wow moment to watch people run to the edge and jump while their sail catches them. You'll be mesmerized as you watch them drift down to the beach, swirling over the trees and swooping over the Pacific before landing on Stinson.
