Marin County’s spectacular summer weather and beautiful scenery only gets better when live music is added to the mix. We’d like to kick-off the Marin Live Music Summer 2024 season by sharing some of our favorite venues and events with our Marin Hotels guests. Read on to learn more about Live Music in Marin….

Sound Summit Music Festival on Mt. Tam

Save the date! Sound Summit 2024 on Mt. Tamalpais is happening on Saturday September 7, 2024. The lineup is TBA but based on past performers, the bands will be perfectly matched with the unbeatable setting high atop Mt. Tam. More information about Sound Summit here.

Marin County Local Music Venues

Mill Valley’s The Junction Beer Garden and Bottleshop is located only a few minutes from Mill Valley Inn and Acqua Hotel, so take advantage of that! This spot is a local’s favorite due a big outdoor space, on-point pizza, and of course live music. Here’s the music calendar for Summer 2024. Note: every Sunday from 2:00-5:00 there is a free concert.

Head West to Fairfax where you’ll find Mac’s at 19 Broadway. There is something happening nearly every night of the week in their speakeasy style cocktail lounge, in the street, or under the Redwoods. Here is the event calendar for their lineup of comedy, jazz, street parties, after parties and more.

Just down the street in Fairfax is the casual and super chill Way Station. An outdoor patio, bbq, beer, and superb line-up are all the ingredients you need for perfect Marin County afternoon. Here is the Summer 2024 schedule.

In San Rafael, Pond Farm Brewing has music most Saturday afternoons along with fresh beer and tasty food. A fun local crowd completes the scene. Here’s the music calendar for Summer 2024. This is a super family friendly environment, where you will see tiny kids busting their move!

The Papermill Creek Saloon is off the beaten track, but if you are looking for an authentic Marin County music experience with the locals, this is it. They are closed in June for renovations, so head out this week or plan to attend after that. Here is the Music Calendar. Bands play in the evenings, so plan accordingly!

Marin Live Music in the Neighborhoods

Lots of small towns in Marin means lots of small town music events. We like Corte Madera’s Summer Concerts on Sundays and San Anselmo Live on the Avenue, with strolling, dining, shopping, and live music in the heart of town on Fridays and Saturdays through October.

If you’re staying at Waters Edge Hotel, you are located only a few blocks from Belvedere’s Concerts in the Park, taking place on four Summer Sundays starting at 4pm.
